Best Pots & Pans for Camping Review

Here Is a Review on 3 of the Best Pots and Pans for Camping
Camping and cooking outside to me go hand in hand. I would do all the cooking outside on the BBQ pit or open fire if weather conditions were always ideal. ((ok, I have my husband do all the cooking outside)).
We all know, weather conditions are not always ideal when we camp. And, no matter what size travel trailer we have, kitchens are small and storage is a minimum. Sometimes, the cooking has to be done inside, while others only like to cook inside the travel trailer and others never cook inside the travel trailer.
I know for me, versatile pots and pans that can be used on top of the stove, in the oven and on the BBQ pit are a must. Having a husband, 5 children & 2 grandkids, when I cook, I cook a lot. At home, I have different pots for different foods. One of my favorite pot sets to cook with is cast iron, especially when frying or cooking a huge pot of Gumbo. I also have non-stick for stir fry meals, and regular everyday pots for simple hot dogs and chili. No travel trailer ever made, has a kitchen large enough to store 3 different pot sets along with everything else needed like utentils and food. So, if you are anything like me, multiuse pots and pans are a must.
Another thing to consider when purchasing pots for the travel trailer is what kind of camping you primarily do. With dry camping, the only water available is what you filled in your fresh tank, while being hooked to city water gives you access to as much water needed, the grey tank can only hold so much water. Are you one that does not mind washing at least the pots and pans outside? I know of people that do, it helps with water in the tanks & also helps to eliminate food particles & grease getting in the water lines and into the grey tank. Here, I have taken a look at 3 of my most favorite pot sets. Take a look and see what you think.
11 PCS Set Cookware Non-Stick Copper Induction Cookware
Set Ceramic Pots and Pans set Dishwasher and oven Safe
By: Grand Innovation
What I love about this Copper Non-Stick Ceramic Cookware Pot and Pan set, is they are so easy to clean with the non-stick surfaces. Cooked food can be wiped out with a paper towel and then of course, I still wash in warm soapy water afterwards. Less chance of food particles, grease, etc., going down the drain and into the grey tank. They are oven safe up to 662F, so I have used them on the BBQ pit a few times. If you have a travel trailer with a dishwasher and do most of the cooking inside the travel trailer, than this may be the pot set for you, as they are dishwasher safe. This set is PTFE, PFOA, & PFOS Free, which means it has no toxic chemicals to flake off like some Teflon coated pots/pans have. The only real draw back with this set for a travel trailer is they do take up some room for storage. If your travel trailer kitchen/dining area is equipped, I would see about keeping in the bottom cabinet under the sink, floor of a pantry, or if possible, inside the dinette bench. All of those areas are ideal since they are all on the floor and if they shift while traveling than there is less chance of them breaking a cabinet door or making a mess if they were to fall. So if you like to do most of your cooking inside the trailer and there is the storage space, than I would definitely recommend this set for you and your family. This set can purchased right here through Amazon.

A10-360L 10 Piece Gourmet Nesting Stainless Steel Cookware, Gas, Electric or Ceramic Cooktops
This pot set was designed for RVs and boats in mind. They are nesting pots, which means they stack inside each other for super easy storage. The set even comes with a bunge cord to strap the set together! Awesome concept in my eyes. Since they are Stainless Steel it is not recommended to use anything abrasive to clean it. For those hard to clean cooked on foods, it is recommended to soak the pot in warm soapy water for a little while to help in the cleaning without hard abrasives. This set can be used on gas or electric stove tops. The handles are removable which makes storage so super easy, so this may take a little getting use to, and be careful, like all Stainless Steel Cookware, the tops on the lids do get hot. If you put over an open fire make sure to take the handles off! These pots are not designed for induction cooktops, so if you happen to have a 5th wheel with an induction cook top than this set is not for you. However, if you are cooking on an electric, ceramic, or propane/gas cook top and storage is in short supply, this could be the perfect cooking set to keep in your travel trailer. This set comes with 3 sauce pans sized 1 ½ qt, 2 qt, and 3 qt) with interchangeable lid, a stock pot sized 5 qt and a saute/fry pan that is 9 ½ diameter with interchangeable lids, 2 removable handles & bunge cord to strap together for easy storage. Bruntmor Pre-Seasoned 7 Piece Heavy Duty Cast Iron Dutch Oven Camping Cooking Set with Vintage Carrying Storage Box
Average Customer Rank 3.9/5
If you are the avid, over the open fire chef, than this may be what you are looking for. I know, I cannot live without mine. Fish fries, chili, gumbo, cast iron is a must in my kitchen. Cast iron is very heavy so I would not store in a cabinet. A great place to store them may be in an outside storage compartment of the trailer. If outside storage is unavailable, I would keep them on the floor of the pantry or if your camper is equipped, the storage in the dinette bench, both are great place to keep them. I do not recommend putting them in a pull out drawer. Because of there weight, they are not likely to shift around while traveling, but the weight will break a drawer as it is not designed to carry anything heavy. This cast iron set does come “pre-seasoned.” Although I do use mine often on my electric stove at home, I would be extremely careful if you have an electic stove in the travel trailer. Being from the south, these cast iron pots are a must for every kitchen, even in the travel trailer. I personally love this set, it even comes with an 8.6 ”Trivet & Dutch Oven Lid Lifter – a must for open fire cooking. If you love cooking outside or for a lot a people, this is a must have! This set can be purchased through Amazon.
-for cooking on an open fire or with burning ash
-large pot with lide and recess for the circulation of the burning ash
-pre-seasoned & non-stick surfaces
